Timelapse of our kitchen table…

It occured to me that a timelapse video of the hub of our home – the kitchen table – would be a fabulous project. perhaps someday. In the meantime… here’s a descriptive non-video version of it, captured on a random Sunday.

kitchen table - hub.

kitchen table - hub.

kitchen table - hub.

kitchen table - hub.

kitchen table - hub.

:: remnants of cupboard organization from the day before, cleared first thing in the morning.

:: kiddos drawing while waiting for breakfast…

:: Elizabeth & Mama making scones for breakfast…

:: the whole family eating scones…

:: bread making while kiddos played outside with papa…

:: back to the table with the bread to shape…

:: the whole family eating soup for lunch….

:: painting. there’s almost always painting…

:: beads sorting & making jewelry…

:: Pattern sorting for my next project…

:: Recipe book reviewing for upcoming meal ideas…

:: drawing while dinner is prepared…

:: snacking on frozen peas while dinner is prepared…

:: the whole family eating dinner together…

and tomorrow, it starts again.

  1. Our table is the hub too. I’m always stunned when I clear it after a meal or project to just fill it again with another meal or snack or project. So it goes…

  2. Your table looks like such a center of creativity and love! Ours has so many scattered crumbs, ink marks, paper scraps… which I guess is a beauty in and of itself, but I don’t think I could photograph it as beautifully as you do!

    hugs, Marina
