Ten things I love right now…
:: stringing popcorn & apples for the birds, while drinking hot cocoa & listening to christmas music… though it ended up being more of a ‘eat the popcorn’ for the kiddos — the were having a hard time pushing the needle through the popcorn. Oh, and the new birdfeeder Adam picked up yesterday for our backyard (we have 2 in the front) — you can see the popcorn beside it 🙂
:: making gifts for my children
:: christmas at Grand-Maman’s. Because we insist on being home for christmas eve every year for our own tranditions, we miss christmas at Grand-Maman’s every year… unless it’s decided that an extra gathering will be added, like it was this year. thankful to see everybody for the holidays. (which was well over 60 people for dinner (including 4 pregnant cousins) & a visit from Santa) Oh… and the lovely memory lane visit of us watching home videos of christmas shows twenty years ago… many involving me and siblings or cousins step dancing! (photo taken by my sister, i’m in the corner with 2 kiddos who refused to budge from my lap… not even for Santa!)
:: how in love I am with the large print I got the kids for christmas of them, on a tire swing this summer. nothing beats handmade prints in the darkroom!
:: the thank you note I got yesterday for one of the gifts we gifted the kids teachers this week. this was part of it “WOW! Soooo beautiful. THANK YOU!! Alejandro [who is four] was with me and said “She’s a really good cutter!”. It’s so nice to receive home made gifts.”
