Quotable Sunday (+bread)

“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,” said Piglet at last, “what’s the first thing you say to yourself?”
“What’s for breakfast? said Pooh. “What do you say, Piglet?”
“I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?” said Piglet.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
“It’s the same thing,” he said.

:: Alexandre, hamming it up for the camera!

our adventure in breadmaking this week… the perfect two-helper recipe. This was my first ever handmade white bread – and like a friend described it best this week “it’s like a dreamy pillow… you just know it’s bad for you!” it was very much like a silky pillow — almost therapy for hands!

The bread turned out wonderful – half the dough got molasses and rye flour added. If there’s a next time, I will try it with whole wheat flour instead – the dough was incredibly stiff and difficult to kneed. I wasn’t sure if it would even turn out, but it did turn out well!
