W.I.P. Wednesday: Backgammon Board.
This was supposed to be my husband’s father’s day gift this year. I didn’t start it until the week before his birthday (his birthday was last thursday) thinking maybe, if I was knitting day and night I could perhaps finish it in time. HA! I haven’t had much time to touch it since I started!
Working with 4 bobins + MC isn’t working so well for me — I think I’m going to go down to 2 and do lots of weaving at the end — because right now, it’s getting so tangled that it’s most likely going to mean the end of the project before it really has a chance. And I really *really* want to see this project through — I love this idea AND maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to win at least ONCE on this board. I am not a sore loser, but GOODNESS when I play backgammon with Adam I always, always *always* lose. And that’s just no fun!
This pattern is from the lovely week-end knitting. So many nice simple quickly (or so i thought!) projects in the book! I hope to complete a few others for christmas gifts — which I realize I really need to start working on… now.
Can I just say that I wish all my needles were bamboo? well, sortof. Alexandre broke one of my tiny 2.5mm bamboo sock needles a while back (of a set of 5), so maybe not all.
Here it is on Ravelry…
[as a side note, I always have projects on the go and I joined the flickr Wednesday WIP group quite a while ago thinking it would keep me accountable for projects… and I’m pretty sure this is the first time I share in the pool!]
