me, by Elizabeth.

photograph taken by my nearly 3 year old daughter. She can barely hold the camera it’s so heavy! I like this composition — and i’d say it’s “through Elizabeth’s eyes” but really — she was just trying to snap it before somebody took the camera away or she dropped it on the floor, which ever was to come first! (thankfully, Adam retrieved the camera and it didn’t hit the ground!)

I’m feeling quite lost these days… and surprisingly, I like this photograph. Somehow it seems more free than I feel most days… Perhaps it’s glimpses of a free + relaxed version of me about to emerge… fingers crossed!

  1. First of all – you look gorgeous. Second of all – Elizabeth has it in her genes to be a fabulous photographer… quick snap or not. 😉

I wish you all the freedom and relaxation you’re craving. I have everything crossed for you. 🙂

  2. i think it is a lovely picture of you. you look quite content. knowing a 3 year old took it is wonderful. my daughter is creeping up on 5 and we want to get her a camera for her birthday. a real one, since she loves taking photos and i want to encourage that.
i also wanted to add…the feeling of lost…most of us have been there. i know i have. i hope you find your way. (and when you do, would you come and point me in the right direction?)

  3. I love it, too! I always always always love the photos my kids take of me. I’m not sure what it is—the way we look at them, their perspective,… ?

I think lost can be a very good place to be. Now I have to google that quote… something like, I’m not lost, I’m exploring?

  4. “Not all who wonder are lost” by J.R.R. Tolkien? 🙂
Oh, and I really like the photo of Alexandre and Andrew walking from the beach 🙂
