Handmade Gift – Buttercup Bag

I’ve been thinking about what to gift my mother in law for a while — I had planned on knitting her a market bag like the one here. But…. I didn’t. I ran out of time, mostly because of procrastination… and so I was looking for inspiration… and then yesterday I came accross SouleMama’s sewing post — and there it was, a gift I could make quickly!

This pattern is quick & easy — and free! from Made By Rae!
The Buttercup Bag
The fabric is Amy Butler Fabric Gothic Rose in Burgundy.

I love it — and kind of wish I could keep it… but her birthday is tomorrow, and well, I’m now officially out of time to make anything else! 🙂

This tag is not what I had in mind… I really need to find wide ribbon that I can fold as a tag — but I haven’t found it yet. I need to print my labels too to be able to add them to projects easily.

And this is my office wall, and calendar, and bag — all green! 🙂 Seemed fitting on St-Patty’s Day!

  3. Wow, this turned out so beautifully! I saw the bag on Soule Mama the other day as well. We are attempting to give all handmade gifts this year. It’s nice to see others doing the same.
