A pixie in a purple hat

I knitted this up quickly for Elizabeth because I was going to be waiting somewhere and needed some quick knitting project to put in my bag!

Her reaction would rival one of being told she won a million dollars — if in fact she had any idea what that might mean. The amazing reaction this child gives makes it impossible to not want to keep making her things 🙂

And I also wanted to share that I just learned the three needle bind off method — I’m not an advanced knitter by any means — and I learn things with most patterns I attempt – which is fun! This though – surpasses all the techniques I’ve learned. SO cool — So clean – so easy… seriously. If you haven’t done this — you need to try it. I can’t believe how wonderful it looks!

If you’d like to learn how to do this — here is a knitty article on the subject!

The pixie hood is from the book Baby Beanies – Happy Hats to make for little heads by Amanda Keeys.
